CPD Prize Winner

Congratulations to the lucky winner of our CPD prize Michele van Reesch! Michele was randomly selected from the draw of CPD graduates, and won an Express Coaching session from Next Evolution Performance valued at $1000.

What is the CPD program?

NDP is now offering a voluntary Continuing Professional Development program to support workers in the disability sector continue their learning.

Our CPD program is designed to improve the knowledge and skills you need to excel in your jobs and improve your future employability.

The CPD program is only $20 for NDP members, and free if you work in NSW. If you are not a member, we can offer membership at a discounted rate of only $40 for the year.

Why should I join CPD?

  • Be inspired to gain more knowledge and upskill yourself.
  • Promote your point of difference to your employer.
  • Be recognised for any learning you're already doing / planning to undertake.

I'm new to the sector, do I need CPD?

CPD supports all learning backgrounds. So whether you’re brand new to the disability workforce, an experienced sector leader or an allied health professional, CPD is for you.

How does it work?

All you need to do is collect 12 CPD points each calendar year to earn your certificate.

CPD points are divided into three categories and can be gained externally, from within your organisation or from NDP's wide range of FREE resources!

The three categories are:

  • Professional Activities;
  • Independent Learning; and
  • Formal Learning Activities.

You’ll need to cover verified activities from at least two categories to qualify for your CPD certificate. Generally, one hour of learning will equal one CPD point.

All the activities you complete will need to be verifiable. This means that your learning will be relevant to your career or future career aspirations.

How do I validate my points?

The 2018 CPD program is from January – December, so if you have completed any learning in this time, we are able to recognise it for you! Simply login to the NDP website and fill out the Activity Validation form to have your points verified and tallied. You can view your tally on the Overview page.

Points can be collected from a variety of sources. Please refer to our validation table for how to gain or validate points.
