Interim arrangement for NDIS to fund some Dysphagia supports
The Commonwealth Government recently announced an interim arrangement to fund the ongoing assessment, development and monitoring of meal plans for National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) participants with dysphagia who aren’t in a hospital or acute care setting. People with dysphagia have difficulty in swallowing, and therefore require related care, support and services.
This interim arrangement has been placed until the Federal and and territory governments have clarified the roles of the NDIS and mainstream health systems.
