NDP recently held an election for the NDP Divisional Committee, asking members to put forward their vote for one new committee member. We are pleased to announce that Anne Hawkins, Manager, Supported Independent Living at Brightwater Care Group, will be joining the NDP Committee for a three (3) year appointment.

Anne is a Certified Health Executive with senior management experience in health and disability sectors. Her current focus is Supported Independent Living specialising in services for adults with acquired brain injury and Huntington's disease. Anne started out as a genetic counsellor in the US and has significant experience working with indigenous, regional, remote, multicultural, and migrant communities in the context of rare disease and disability.

As Clinical Service Manager of Genetic Services of Western Australia she facilitated the service transition from block funding to activity-based funding, and then as Manager of SIL facilitated Brightwater’s transition from block funding to the NDIS. Anne is active in the disability sector through a range of committees such as the NDS Home Living subcommittee and the Building Local Care Workforce program. Anne specializes in change management, aligning safe and effective workflows, database structures, business strategy, quality improvement, and clinical governance.

We welcome Anne and look forward to working together alongside all members of the NDP Divisional Committee, to deliver the national strategic priorities and mission and ensure the success of NDP.
