National Disability Practitioners (NDP) endeavours to ensure a capable, professional and engaged disability workforce. 

The NDP Divisional Committee plays a key role in ensuring the success of NDP. It represents the voice of NDP members in delivering NDP’s national strategic priorities and mission.

As part of the Committee, you will have the chance to contribute to the work of NDP and engage with members to promote NDP. Plus, you will help inform the Committee of trends and member needs or issues.

The NDP Divisional Committee is seeking to fill one (1) committee vacancy for a three (3) year appointment.

The Divisional Committee consists of 7 to 9 members who act in a voluntary capacity and members may annually elect two people to the Divisional Committee under NDP’s By-Laws.

The Divisional Committee meets at least four (4) times a year. A member can attend in person, by telephone, by web conference, video conferencing or such other electronic means as agreed.

Why join the NDP Divisional Committee?

In addition to contributing to NDP’s direction, a position on the Divisional Committee will provide governance experience and the ability to network with other talented professionals..

Am I eligible?

Nominees must be current, paid-up members of NDP. Enthusiastic and confident individuals from all areas of disability service provision and all states and territories are encouraged to nominate. Nominees are requested to be familiar with NDP’s Divisional Committee By-Laws, which further outline the roles and responsibilities of committee members. Read more about NDP’s Committee.

How do I nominate?

To nominate, simply complete the NDP Divisional Committee nomination form on the Member Area and provide your relevant experience and skills for the position. To be considered, your nomination must be seconded by a current NDP member.

If NDP receives more than one (1) nomination, we will conduct an election via secret online ballet. All eligible members will be provided a copy of your nominee information page to assist them in electing their preferred candidate/s.

When do nominations close?

Nominations close 5:00pm AEST Friday 22 July 2022.
