WA COVID-19 Vaccine community funding program

The WA Government has announced a COVID-19 Vaccine Community Funding Program established to increase vaccinations in priority groups. These groups include: people with disability, Aboriginal communities, people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds, homeless and people sleeping rough, those suffering mental health problems, and those who may be at greater risk of COVID-19.

Through the program, grants of up to $5000 will be available to incorporated not-for-profit organisations, Aboriginal corporations and local government authorities to assist in local education, programs, venue hire, training and transport, and other vaccine promotional initiatives. Details are still being finalised and NDS will let members know when further information, including how to apply, becomes available.

The funding program coincides with a Summer Vax Drive commencing Saturday, November 27 for a three-week period. During the Summer Vax Drive new pop up clinics will make it more convenient than ever to 'roll up' for WA.
