NDIS code of conduct

The Commonwealth is developing a national Code of Conduct to promote safe and ethical service delivery for the full scheme NDIS. Consultation is now open and we encourage people with disability, their families and carers, providers and workers to share their comments and feedback. To get involved, visit www.engage.dss.gov.au to read the discussion paper, complete a survey or make a submission.

Consultation will be open until 5pm (AEST), 21 June 2017.

We are pleased to have received quite a lot of great feedback on NDP's draft Code of Practice.

We appreciate the feedback provided by members during our Code of Practice consultations earlier this year. To ensure the Code is consistent with the National Disability Insurance Scheme's (NDIS) Quality and Safeguarding framework, we have decided to wait for the framework to be finalised before releasing our Code. The Code will describe the standards of conduct and practice within which NDP members should work and is intended to reflect existing standards of best practice.

Should you wish to discuss the Code (or any other NDP matter), please feel free to call us on (02) 9256 3188. We look forward to hearing from you.
