Changes to School Leaver Employment Supports Claim Process

NDIS participants who are Year 12 school leavers can access support to help them achieve employment through the School Leaver Employment Supports (SLES). This may include training for communication, vocational / job skills development, travel and work experience in open employment.

The process for providers to claim payments for SLES is changing. An interim policy is in place until further advice from the NDIA.

The full annualised or pro rata funding amount and any applicable SLES extension, as agreed by the NDIA, can now only be claimed under certain circumstances.
