The National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA) has released its 2018 Cultural and Linguistic Diversity Strategy. This is to ensure that people with disability from culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) backgrounds who may face additional challenges can access the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS). 

The Strategy explains how:

• the NDIA will work with people from CALD backgrounds;
• people from CALD background will be treated the same way as everyone else; and
• service providers and the community can work with people from CALD backgrounds.

The NDIA has has worked with people with disability from CALD backgrounds and key peak body organisations to develop this Strategy.
