DHHS has recently amended its Policy, procedures and forms for registration of NDIS disability service providers.

These amendments relate to work around resources and processes on the Human Services Standards (Standards), and registration under the Disability Act 2006 and Children, Youth and Families Act 2005.

Amendments can be summarised as follows:

• Revision of the Human Services Standards webpage
• Updates to The Human Services Standards policy
• Policy, procedures and forms for registration of disability services providers and community services
• A change from hard copy to email issuing of registration certificates under the Disability Act and/or Children, Youth and Families Act
• The Staff, volunteer and carer file audit tool  has been updated to clarify the Disqualified Carer Check requirements.
