Grants offered for supported employees with low productivity

The Department of Social Services (DSS) invites providers to apply to deliver Case Management in 2016-17 for supported employees with very low productivity. The grants are being made available under the Disability, Mental Health and Carers Program, through the Community Grants Hub.

Case Management will assist supported employees who have very low productivity to make informed choices about their future. This will include learning about and trialling day activities that are alternatives to supported employment.

DSS recognises that not all participants will choose to leave supported employment. Case Management will include planning materials for participants that decide to continue working for the time being, to assist with any future decisions about retiring from supported employment.

The application period for the grants closes on 24 January 2017.

More information about the grants, as well as requirements for Applicants and the Application Pack, can be obtained from the Community Grants Hub website.
