Helping First Nations people with a disability to gain a more in-depth understanding of the NDIS, Coral Gore-Birch (ILC Coordinator at Far North Community Services, Kununurra, WA) has created a resource titled ‘NDIS: About that Big Boss Mob’, the compiled work of Far North Community Services and members of the local community. The resource provides information on the disability sector to the more remote areas of Western Australia.

The booklet (with an audio version currently in development) invites First Nation people with a disability to engage more with the NDIS, providing more information on the disability sector to the more remote areas of Western Australia.

Julie Waylen (NDS WA State Manager) expressed hopes that the booklet will inspire First Nations people to engage more with the disability services.
