NDIS Resources - Aboriginal Health Council of Western Australia (AHCWA)

AHCWA, the National Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisation and the National Disability Insurance Scheme are working together to increase awareness within Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities about the NDIS, and boost participant registration.

The project is part of a push to increase access to, and choice and control around, services available for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people with disability living in communities.

AHCWA and our Member Services have created resources aimed at improving Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities’ understanding of NDIS services and increasing the availability of culturally appropriate assets to support Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander NDIS participants.

Together, we’ve crafted a series of animations and testimonial videos highlighting the NDIS, how to access it and what it can do for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people with a disability.

You can access, download and share these resources with your own networks here, and help us spread the word about the NDIS in your community today.
