New Virtual Reality Tool to Train Disability Support Workers

According to Probono Australia, House with No Steps (HWNS) was recently awarded funding from the National Disability Services Innovative Workforce Fund to develop the “cutting-edge” technology - a new virtual reality prototype to enhance the training, skills and work practices of disability support staff.

The prototype was developed in partnership with the Centre for Social Impact, and it will aim to enhance the capabilities of disability support workers with respect to risk-related scenarios in their workplace by creating new opportunities for learning through lifelike scenarios.
