NSW Lockdown update

9 July 2021

In response to the growing numbers of COVID-19 cases in NSW, additional restrictions have been placed on Greater Sydney, Wollongong, Blue Mountains, Shellharbour from 5pm 9 July 2021. The new restrictions will remain in place until 16 July 2021 at the earliest.

The NSW Health website has specific advice for home care disability service providers. This includes mandatory mask wearing.

The webpage also has extensive information and advice for residential disability care providers. It is important for providers to regularly check the NSW Health website and ensure the rules and guidelines are understood.

Restrictions in regional NSW will remain unchanged.

These tightened restrictions are based on health advice from the Chief Health Officer Dr Kerry Chant. They are necessary due to the increasing number of unlinked cases in the community.
