In their eight year, the Victorian Disability Awards recognise individuals, teams and organisations whose work improve the lives of people with disability living in Victoria. The awards also highlight the achievements of people with disability.

The Award categories are:

• Emerging leader award
• Excellence in creating inclusive communities
• Excellence in employment outcomes
• Excellence in promoting health, housing and wellbeing
• Excellence in promoting rights, fairness and safety
• Volunteer award
• Lifetime achievement honour roll
• Minister’s Award for outstanding Leadership

The Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS), in partnership with disability peak body National Disability Services (NDS) are presenting the Victorian Disability Awards.

Nominations are now open, and will end on 8 April 2018.
