Course Content:

• Using holistic model of sexuality
• Sexual and reproductive rights of people with intellectual disability
• Building health literacy
• Applying a person - centred approach
• Useful strategies and resources in providing sexuality and relationships information.
• Working effectively with parents and families.

Course Structure:

This two - day course is designed for workers in the disability service sector including managers, support workers, case managers and allied health professionals.

Participants who successfully complete the workplace based assessment in the months following the training will be awarded a nationally recognised Statement of Attainment (CHCEDU003 Provide sexual and reproductive health information to clients).

Attendance at this course will enable participants to go on to complete Sexuality Matters! Part B: Design and Deliver a Sexuality Education Program.
